SLP 127: Pootopia and Pooforia with Lynda Griparic
Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
‘Enjoying a good satisfying poo… I don’t know about you but like there’s this thing I used to talk about ‘Poo-foria’ where you do a good poo and you feel amazing and you know you’re like… right, ok, I’ve just evacuated well. Some say it stimulates the vagus nerve as well. And so I think yes ensuring that overall you are looking after your health, and you consider that an investment in yourself. Sometimes it does take time, it’s not a quick fix… that for me is self-love.’ Lynda Griparic
Lynda Griparic is a phenomenal Naturopath, Nutritionist, Podcaster, Writer, and Yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience in the health industry. Lynda specialises in digestive health, namely SIBO and constipation.
She has extensive experience in running healthy, effective, and sustainable bowel care programs and has expertise in investigating and treating the underlying causes of gut disturbance which leads to the power of ‘poo-topia’. Lynda has an intense interest in poo and she’s also the creator of the delicious BetterMe Tea, a tea designed to promote improved gut health and digestion – assisting those who struggle with constipation and sluggish bowel movements to go to the bathroom with ease.
Lynda is married to the amazing Guy Lawrence, she is a mum to 17 month old Ava and is keeping busy completing her bachelor of complementary medicine.
This is a beautiful conversation with a woman who is constantly aware of how much we have a bio directional relationship with our gut microbiome and how it is something that affects our mood, the thyroid, hormonal health and even the oral microbiome.
A naturopath is someone who looks at the wholistic picture of someone and see sall the symptoms they are experiencing and appreciates there can be many driving reasons as to why. Whilst doing that investigative work they are also trying to improve their symptoms immediately. Lynda is always looking at the chronic underlying issues vs the acute symptoms being presented.
We discuss the topic of nutrition being such a big and important part of our everyday health and wellbeing and yet how little it is regarded by the medical profession.
Lynda was drawn to naturopathy because it encompasses most things in someone’s life rather than just the acute symptoms. Humans are complex and looking at just the symptom is not enough in her opinion. Understanding what is driving the ailment is where longstanding results are had. Past trauma impacts symptom presentation in the body too. She has a love of medicine now and can see how she would love to study them both.
Naturopathy without doubt is a more natural approach and a do less harm approach as well as improving someone’s quality of life rather than just reduce the symptom. Sometimes we do need that approach like in emergency medicine and or pain.
She is inspired to plant seeds with people and see their overall joy for life improve.
We talk about pregnancy and the importance of nutrition and discuss what is behind the reason why some women struggle to keep food down! She says there is a natural body intelligence and yet some women are horrendously sick for the whole pregnancy even though it doesn’t make sense. She says some women may experience nausea but regardless, she says it is ideal to enter pregnancy as healthy as possible with optimum levels of nutrition.
Stress and the world we live in plays a big part in the impact of the gut lining and can drive gut disruption. The flow on effect can impact the immune system, brain health our hormonal health. Many stresses have increased in today’s world including demands, the environment, deficient soils etc.
Lynda gives a beautiful description of what leaky gut is. This is the intestinal permeability and particles can pass through the gut wall. This can cause systemic inflammation which can cause things like depression. Stress is a major factor, certain foods like a lot of saturated fats can impact the gut wall. Diet can cause intestinal dysbiosis or imbalance between good and bad bacteria. Of course gluten is a massive contributor as is alcohol, sugar and constipation which can lead to gut integrity, diverticulitis and things like refined foods and processed foods contribute to these issues.
Lynda knows we cannot live the ultimate perfect life and be completely no-tox but we can be mindful of our choices. The chemical load on our body can be very harmful even though we do have an amazing detoxification system. If we have an excess in anything in our body it can cause small problems that lead to long term and sometimes permanent problems.
One topic we go right into is POO! We talk diarrhoea, constipation and stool charts. Poo is insightful for health. Even down to how you evacuate your bowel. It should slide out easily with no sticky-ness. It should be well formed, s-shaped. You want to be going once a day and it feels complete. The way your bowel works is a fantastic indicator for health. And the poo itself can be very insightful. Is it diet, water intake, chemicals, movement or sedentary lifestyle and SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). It is important to move the bowels everyday.
Sometimes there can be a disconnect to the human plumbing which is why Lynda wants to make it less taboo, have a giggle about it, talk about… and know no matter what is happening you are not alone.
You can get an image of the Bristol Stool Chart to stick on the back of the toilet door to teach everyone. There are 7 different types of stool representation. You want to be sitting at around type 3 and 4.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_stool_scale
Lynda describes the importance of how quickly we pass food. Usually within an 18-24 hour period is ideal. If it is 5 days later it is a really slow transit time.
We talk enemas and colonics and how they each play a part. She does not recommend both often but does believe they have a place. From the mouth to the anus it is a hole.
Her definition of Self Love is enjoying a good satisfying poo – Poo-foria!!!! It stimulates the vagus nerve. Self love is investing in yourself to maintain your health. Self love is about bringing joy into your day and more connection, out in nature, is my life on a daily basis bringing in pleasure at some level. It’s about checking in with yourself daily. And making sure there is joy and pleasure.
Being married to Guy she says is perfect – and challenging at times… they constantly feel they are evolving together, and they encourage each other daily. Lynda loves her own podcast so she can direct her patients to each show. Guy and Lynda encourage each other to go beyond limitations. They each love what they do and feel blessed they can both work from home with Ava. They are continually asking each other how to bring more love into their lives.
(Guy is on the SL Podcast episode number 19).
Her final message is deeply reflect by asking yourself these questions daily – Am I bringing joy and pleasure into my life and if not what do I need to bring into my life to have that. Investing into your mental and physical health is so important and should be seen as a long term investment.
Her favourite quote is from Wayne Dyer:
You are not stuck where you are, unless you decide to be.

SLP 126: Self Love Quicky – Spring Into Shape
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Exercising on a regular basis seems to be one of life’s toughest challenges. Often the hardest part is getting started! It’s a challenge to make the time, get the shoes on and actually get out the door! But let’s face it once you are in the act of ‘doing exercise’ you feel better – virtuous almost! Perhaps then it is more a mental challenge than physical one? We all know emotional, mental and physical health are very strongly linked. With a healthy attitude and mastering positive self-talk you can overcome negative feelings often associated to exercise and work your way towards a healthier and fitter body.
Spring is the perfect time for a new exercise resolution! The weather is getting lighter and warmer and for many it is a time to make a fresh new start! It also means summer is just around the corner – which means beaches, bikinis and bodies! So how do we get up off our butts and into shape in time? The key is definitely enjoyment! Have you noticed when you say ‘walkies’ to a dog they almost jump out of their skin? They can’t wait to get out that door. I would be a multi-millionaire if I could come up with a magic potion that created the same reaction in human beings! It’s what I call getting a dose of ‘walk the dog attitude’. If only people could stop the excuses and just do it! But what works for some may not work for others, and if one day you feel great about exercising, chances are there will be some days you don’t. It is a challenge for many, but it one of the best investments into your health. The reality is there is no quick fix, it won’t happen on its own and no one can do it for you!
The human body is a machine that was designed to MOVE! No matter how good your diet is the muscles of your body need constant stimulus to maintain health and tone. Physical activity supports all your body functions – it strengthens your heart and lungs, builds strong healthy muscles and gives you that wonderful sense of well being as your brain releases ‘feel good’ endorphins each time you exercise. The topic of exercise is as big as nutrition. It can also be as confusing. We are all constantly bamboozled by the latest exercise gadget or fad. The exercise industry is as much a moneymaking phenomenon as the food one. So don’t get sucked in by marketing and advertising campaigns! At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how you move your body – as long as you are moving it!
It is so easy to make excuses not to exercise. Often there are many distractions and more important things that need our attention, it’s understandable all these excuses pop up. The reality is things will always pop up, and you will always be able to find a valid excuse – if you want to! In order to be healthy you need to commit to good eating and exercise habits, and make them a priority. Find ways of exercising that can easily be integrated into your busy life, make sure you enjoy doing it and stick with it until it becomes a way of life. Sounds easy doesn’t it? Well believe it or not, once you commit, it is that easy!
It takes at least 28days to create a positive habit. If you can make a promise to yourself and stick to the plan for the whole month chances are this will become a lifetime habit not just some fad! Make a plan and stick to it. Don’t allow any excuses for this period. You might decide to walk briskly for 30mins three times a week and attend yoga or a gym class twice a week. Or it might be swimming for 30mins three times a week and playing tennis twice a week. Whatever your plan is make sure it is something you would enjoy doing and then stick to it. Do not give up at all in this period.
Remember to take care of your body and reward it! (I don’t mean cake and chocolate either!) Stretching, warming up and down can help the body rejuvenate and protect from injury. Hot baths using magnesium or epsom salts and essential oils can also be fantastic. Lavender and Marjoram are great muscle relaxants, Peppermint and Chamomile are antispasmodic, Grapefruit and Black Pepper are detoxifying and oils like Geranium and Cedarwood are fantastic for balancing and grounding. Adding 6 drops in total of any of these oils to a full bath is a wonderful simple treatment! But before we seduce our senses into the relaxation side of things we need to get up off our butts and earn that treatment!
One point – if you have any health concerns, or have not exercised for a long time, we recommended a check up from your Doctor before embarking on any new exercise program. And if you are unsure where to start, walking is good! Or if you want something more than that invest into a personal trainer who can design a programme specifically for you. It will be money well spent! I personally love my trainer and going to train with her 3 x a week. Plus a few jogs a week and a nice long walk in nature or on the beach is heaven! Look at your house cleaning and gardening as workouts too.
Make getting fit and healthy your new Spring resolution! I am yet to meet anyone who has taken on regular exercise and regretted it!
Enjoy and take care!

SLP 125: You Can Do A Lot More Than You Think with Kerry Ashcroft
Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
“When you achieve something, like opening my own studio, re-qualifying as an adult, all these little things that, they do give you a boost, give you more confidence, it’s like you can do more. And with my fitness and ultra-events and my body-building… like as humans we have so much more potential than we actually think. It’s actually tapping into that and keep pushing yourself more, keep thriving… you can do a lot more than you think.” Kerry Ashcroft
One small conversation walking on the beach whilst on holiday in Australia lead to English born Kerry Ashcroft and her family into making a decision to immigrate to the Sunshine Coast. Kerry is now a well-established head coach, national body building champion and ultra-marathon runner who shares her story by and belief that we all have the potential to do a lot more than we think!
There were three reasons Kerry felt Australia was the right place to settle and that included the weather and social side of things, the job opportunities and the fact it has a way smaller population.
Kerry’s life began in the fashion and social worlds, working in pubs and clubs Kerry then went on to become a dental assistant for 12 years. She fell into PT work after completing a gym challenge.
Kerry believes you can learn to fall in love with weight lifting and gym training even if you have never done it before. The more you do it the better you get and the more you want to do it. The hardest part is starting.
She believes a lot of people might think they have the perfect diet or training plan but it all boils down to hard you work. You can have the best plan or trainer in the world but unless you give it 100% you will not necessarily get the results you are after.
PT training and building muscle takes years, it does not happen over night. Results come with time. Muscle building takes time. It’s a journey. If things come easy then where’s the fun in that creating a sense of achievement.
Kerry did an 8 week challenge at Jett’s and although she did not lose a lot of weight she transformed her body and became addicted to feeling stronger. She certainly did not believe she could make it to perform on stage. The first time she was on stage she got two 5th places. It was amazing for her. After that first competition she took on a new coach called Leon Stensholm who was interviewed on this podcast in show 103. She won the next competition she entered.
Kerry believes anyone can make it to stage if you are willing to do what it takes. Does everyone have the mental endurance to get to a comp. It’s not a 10 week shred down it takes a hell of a lot of discipline and training and sacrifice and commitment. To get to stage you need a second pair of eyes.
Jamie Milne is Kerry’s coach also and he was interviewed on this podcast (show 69).
We talk body obsession and social media and how to appreciate all parts of us if doing something like this. Kerry never talks diet in their house. They don’t talk weight or fat. Her daughters think she eats the way she does because she wants to build muscle. She is very aware of it with her family and thinks it is more focused on strength and muscle building.
The topic of cellulite comes up and how for women it can be a lot of hard work to get it to a minimum. Social media does not help so much either. Growing up body shape, size, weight was an issue. Magazines always talking the ideal body diet, weight and look.
Today , unlike a few decades ago where the skinny physique was sought after, today it is not as desired and now a fit lean strong athletic look is inspirational thankfully.
Kerry believes you do not have to be full on into to get moving. But she does believe joining a group, a gym, a class of some sort may inspire a more active lifestyle. She believes monkey see monkey do… so it is up to the parents to role model.
There are many free events at gyms, or things like park runs and more free information on the internet so you do not have to spend a lot of money to get fitter.
Nutrition is very important especially for your prep. Calories are divided up into your macros, fats, carbs and protein and you have to weigh every food. You have to be bang on with your food. Otherwise you could be wasting weeks. You have to be in deficit for weight loss. And you have to follow a strict regime for the best results.
Commit to it 100%.
Kerry explains her stage shows and all the comps she won which lead her to win national titles and got her pro card. And then she won a pro line her biggest achievement ever.
Then Covid hit. She was working at Anytime Fitness. Gyms were closed and she found herself in a crappy place. She lost her drive. Then she opened her own gym but still could not find her mojo. So she spoke to Jamie and started doing some Cross-Fit classes to get fit. She joined Jamie’s Run Riot group even though she didn’t feel she could run and it was the best thing she ever did. She went from running next to nothing to 50kms within 6 weeks. That was her start to ultra running. And it was amazing.
The mindset you get from running by yourself means you have to dig deep and do it all by yourself. This is what inspired Kerry to run long distance. And she completed the Blackhall 100 in 18 hours and 48 mins. She shares the story of Reesha Lewis who went from 140kms in weight to 70kgs and ended up winning that same event in 10hours and set a new course record. Such a strong mindset.
Kerry describes the mindset you need to run any amount. Nothing is ever far enough. The last bit is always the hardest no matter how long or short.
If you don’t do it you have to do it again. No matter how tired or how much it was hurting she just put one foot in front of the other. She was told to finish what you started.
Any goal that didn’t come off… reset it, change what needs. If you want to really complete it do what it takes. But if it is not what you want then reset and find a new challenge and change direction.
When you achieve something and all the little confidence boosters along the way we realise we have so much more potential than we think. Keep going. Keep thriving. During the journey Kerry has learned so much about herself and made many wonderful friends. She has built more resilience and strength and become a happier person in the process.
Self-love is something she hasn’t known for herself. But turning 40 she delt more accepting. It’s accepting who you are and you cannot be anyone else. Accepting all your flaws and being able to thriver every single day. Even if a bad day there is always another day. And push to be your best.
Her final message is find what makes your heart sing. Find a passion and something that will make you truly happy. Painting, going for a walk or run. When you are happy that makes everyone around you feel good. If its empty its hard to help others. You only have one life. You cannot waste it on ‘what if’s’. Dig deep, fill your cup and find joy.
If you are in a funk then the best thing to do is to get into action, take on a challenge. Surround yourself with good people. Sometimes the hardest part is actually walking through the gym or going to a yoga class. It is about finding and building a beautiful community.
Get into a group that inspires you. And be a better person. Aspire to be someone you look up to.
Her favourite quote is from Arnold Schwarzenegger:
The wolf on the hill is not as hungry as the wolf climbing the hill.
She says be the best version of you and do not get complacent.
Kerry Ashcroft is a Head coach and studio owner at Coach Kerry. She is an accredited Sports Nutritionist, NBA Pro bodybuilder who holds 12 State and National titles. She iks also a 100km ultra Marathon finisher. And she is a wife and Mum of two beautiful teenage girls Violet and Summer.

SLP 124: Self Love Quicky – Using Essential Oils With Children
Thursday Nov 04, 2021
Thursday Nov 04, 2021
For most parents, when our children get sick, we feel a sense of helplessness at not being able to help them. This can place a great deal of stress on ourselves as parents. Lucky, we have access to essential oils. They can be a great addition to your family health toolkit, giving you a sense of support and control during these sick times.
We can use them during emergencies, when we have no other options on hand, during emotional times and in everyday situations when our children need our support.
As we know, essential oils are extracted from plants, trees and flowers, but just because they are derived from nature, it doesn’t mean they aren’t without safety issues. They are potent aromatic substances and require careful administration, especially when it comes to children. In short, children are not little adults. Their bodies and body systems haven’t fully developed so we need to take extra care.
Dilution
In general aromatherapy, a 2.5% dilution is considered a safe dilution. However, with children, we need to dilute to lower levels. We do this based on age. The following is based on guidelines from The Tisserand Institute.
For children up to 3 months of age, the safe dilution is 0.1 to 0.2%. You will find many aromatherapists, bloggers and writers err on the safe side when it comes to babies, so you will come across some saying do not use AT ALL.
Another safe option can be the use of hydrosols, which are the waters from the distillation process. They contain microscopic levels of essential oils and can be a safe and effective option.
For children between 3 to 24 months, a 0.25 to 0.5% dilution is considered the best approach.
A 1 to 2% dilution for children between 2 and 6 is suggested
For children between 6 and 15, dilution ranges between 2.5 to 5%.
If you have any questions or concerns, please consult with your primary healthcare practitioner, or a qualified professional aromatherapist. To find a professional aromatherapist in your area, check iaama.org.au or www.australiannaturaltherapistsassociation.com.au
Dilution is only part of the equation.
Which oils we use, and how we use them must also be taken into account. There are some essential oils that require more consideration for children based on the chemical composition. Oils such as Cinnamon Bark and Oregano are what some people call “hot oils” meaning that if you place directly onto the skin, it can cause burning and or irritation. We recommend that you avoid using these oils with children. Oils such as Lemongrass and Lemon Myrtle to name but two have dermal limits of 0.7%, meaning that this is the dilution required for safe application to the skin. So, in short, stick to the oils that are generally recognised as safe for children.
So, after all that, what essential oils can you use with kids and how?
Lavender
If I could only have one essential oil it would be Lavender. Lavender has a sweet, floral, herbal scent and is prized for its many therapeutic properties and uses. It can be useful for supporting sleep, feelings of anxiousness or temper tantrums, as well as for cuts, bruises, and bites. Whilst in the past people have used it without dilution, this is not current best practice, and it is effective at low dilutions.
Mandarin
This bright and fresh smelling essential oil is a great addition for children. If your child is anxious, try this oil. It can also be used if your child is constipated or having digestive issues. We apply it to their tummy and rub in a clockwise direction, making sure its diluted correctly, with our favourite carrier oil.
Roman Chamomile
This gentle oil can soothe irritated skin, calm the temper tantrums, and help young ones with sleep issues. If you notice your kids getting cranky at a certain time each day, try diffusing a drop of this oil to help bring some peace and calm to the noise. Kid got an upset tummy? This could be diluted with your favourite carrier oil such as Sweet Almond or Fractionated Coconut oil, applied to the tummy, and rubbed in a clockwise direction.
Eucalyptus and Peppermint
You will find many places stating that it is unsafe to use Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils with children.
The controversy relates to the chemistry of these essential oils, in particular the constituents: 1,8 cineole in Eucalyptus (both radiata and globulus) and the menthol constituent found in Peppermint. When used in high amounts, some children have experienced breathing difficulties.
They can be great for respiratory congestion and infection, when used in the right dilution for the right age.
Tisserand suggests that Peppermint be avoided in children under 3, but in children aged between 3 and 6, it is ok to diffuse, or apply to the skin diluted to 0.5%. Eucalyptus can be diffused for all ages, applied topically for children under 3 diluted up to 0.5%), and for children between 3-6 diluted up to 1%. He believes that these guidelines are “super-safe, if anything a little over-cautious”.
When things go wrong
Accidents can happen. We must always supervise our children when they are in proximity to our essential oils. We mustn’t leave the around where they can be accidentally ingested. Tisserand states that “two-year old kids have been known to unscrew caps on essential oil bottles and drink the contents”. Children as used to the sucking motion, so they can easily drink the contents of a bottle even with the plastic drop on it.

‘Yes. Focusing on what we want but also focusing on the sphere of our influence and what we have control over. And making sure that we are doing the best with the things that we have control over. And that’s different no matter what country you’re in, and no matter what crisis may follow, anything that we have going on right now, we have to decide how we are going to react. Are we going to react out of fear? Are we going to react in truth? What is truth? And figuring out that for ourselves.’ Sabrina Ann Zielinski
Sabrina Zielinski is one special soul and an incredible educator and promoter of natural living. Married to the extraordinary wellness educator Dr Eric Zielinski and a mother of five we get to hear how she does all the amazing things she does and exactly what makes this woman tick.
In this remarkable podcast Sabrina shares her story of growing up around her mother’s herbs, cooking and business whilst her dad was an agro-scientist. She was given her first book on essential oils at around the age of 7 and has used them in every single big moment like a pageant or wedding since then.
Within 6 months of meeting Eric the two were married and have been forging the path or love, light and wellness since.
SABRINA ANN ZIELINSKI is the author of the bestselling books The Essential Oils Diet and The Essential Oils Apothecary. As the Mrs. Georgia 2019 beauty pageant titleholder, Sabrina has used her natural living platform to inspire millions across the globe to reach their health goals. A group fitness instructor and DIY guru, Mama Z started NaturalLivingFamily.com in 2014 with her husband Dr Eric Zielinski to help people learn how to use natural remedies like essential oils safely and effectively. Now visited by more than three million natural health seekers every year NaturalLivingFamily.com has rapidly become the number one online source for biblical health and non-branded essential oils education.
Sabrina talks openly about her love of oils and mentions the Twenty8 Focus and Clarity blend you can get here: https://twenty8.com/product/focus-clarity-synergy-blend-10ml/
Growing up Sabrina realised she did not like the normal everyday music so she listened to every book she could on tape, her favourite one was The Power Of Positive Thinking. This helped to create a powerful and positive mindset.
She believes that proper planning prevents poor performance. This is how this super woman gets everything done. The key to success and accomplishing tasks is writing lists and preparing. Sabrina shares her packing and cooking lists!
Sabrina discusses a childhood diagnoses of ADHD and the amount of medications she was prescribed. She explains how she detox’ed from these chemicals and how her body healed thanks to her understanding of natural medicine.
We have a full-on discussion about the US pageantry circuit and how Sabrina believes it enables you to sharpen your skills in all areas of life with courage, confidence, grace and poise. She mastered it so well she holds many titles and is heavily involved in many areas.
Sabrina touches on the Netflix documentary where she felt her husband and herself were decidedly ambushed into making natural medicine not look good. But as she says there is always a net positive and the proof is in the pudding.
They have written three best-selling books that include many of Sabrina’s recipes and she shares how she got the name Mama Z! Their third book ‘The Essential Oil Apothecary’ is a deep dive into chronic disease. www.eoapothecary.com and she gives many of her amazing recipes in all of their books.
Sabrina talks about the essential oil industry shining brightly. She says she feels she has stepped into the time zone of aromatherapy and believes the time has come for it to be truly shown. She talks about how all the toxins and endocrine disrupting chemicals are effecting us hugely which is why people are willing to look at the beautiful array of plant based products available to us all now.
Sabrina uses her oils daily she uses her get up and go blend of peppermint, rosemary and eucalyptus with orange as she drives to the gym. She uses oils to help with oil pulling. Her immune oils include clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, orange, peppermint and rosemary.
Coconut hardens at 72degrees without essential oils and 76 degrees with essential oils. She shares her morning routine as a busy mum, how to do a mouth wash, shampoo and body wash. Her recipes are all a starting point for you.
You set the environment. As the mum, as the matriarch, you set the environment and you have to think out of the box. You have to be able to protect your little children because you are their first line of defence, they don’t have that ability. Sabrina says, ‘So I make sure that I go through the stuff that we use. I make sure it is all changed over. But it didn’t happen overnight. It happened piece by piece, thing by thing and I’m sure the same for you… as you needed something you came up with something.’
Sabrina talks how they have coped as a family and to help keep them open minded through this pandemic with all the fear and conversations making sure their kids are not missing out on anything. We talk about how to work through the way the world has changed. Allow yourself to grieve through these past few years. Look at the things you can do, not focused on the things you cannot.
You have to allow yourself that this time has passed and to remember we have all chosen to live in this day. Look at the things that we do and make them exciting and interesting and outside of the box. Use this time to look at the things you are not using anymore and maximise what you are using for the mind soul and body.
We discuss what is reacting out of fear, what is truth and figuring it out for ourselves. When there is a lot of propaganda you just need to look at how our Creator designed our bodies. Our bodies are made to have an immune system.
Her definition of Self Love is: You have to fill yourself up in order to pour yourself out. You need to take the time to really care for you. Find the time for yourself. You cannot keep pouring out of a dry well. You have to find time for yourself and make yourself a priority.
Her favourite quote is: The enemy of great is good.

SLP 122: Self Love Quicky – 5 Natural Ways To Reduce Hayfever
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
A runny nose, sneezing and streaming, puffy eyes as well as headaches and a loss of sense of smell are well known symptoms of hayfever. Strictly speaking hayfever is an allergic response to allergens like pollen, spores of certain fungi, even dust and mold where the lining of the eyes, nose and throat are inflamed and affected. Here are 5 natural ways you might like to reduce hayfever with!
An allergen is a substance that the body thinks is foreign forcing the immune system to overreact and produce antibodies that make cells release histamine that cause the allergic reaction.
Allopathically, treatments recommended are steroids and anti-histamines to help suppress an overactive immune system. And whilst this might relieve the symptoms temporarily it does not generally help the sufferer long term. People are also told to avoid the triggers but that is not so easy especially at this time of year when pollens are rife.
So what can one do naturally and long term? Essential oils are powerful, potent substances that may have the ability to support the body to overcome the hypersensitivity. They can help reduce inflammation and boost the immune system as well as offer remarkable relief.
Choosing oils like lavender, eucalyptus, chamomile, peppermint and lemon can be ideal and there are many wonderful ways that you can use them in your daily life to not only support but relieve and prevent symptoms. For those wanting pre-blended synergy oils then Instant Calm and Immune Boost would be the two to choose.
Here are the top five ways to consider in reducing the symptoms of hayfever.
Use essential oils in an electric diffuser or candle vaporiser
With antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties a combination of three of any of the above single oils would be ideal. Use 6-8 drops of essential oils in total added to water before turning on the diffuser or lighting the candle in the vaporizer. Make sure you have your unit in the main living area and try using oils like lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus in the bedroom just prior to sleep.
Try a steam inhalation
Add 1 drop of peppermint, 1 drop of lavender and 1 drop of lemon to a bowl of hot water. Place a towel over your head, close your eyes and take deep breaths in through the nose out through the mouth for a minute then change to in through the mouth out through the nose for a minute. Try this for 4-6 minutes.
Massage the chest, neck and back of the head
Make up a blend using 10ml of carrier oil like sweet almond, coconut or macadamia oil and add 5 drops in total of your chosen oils or synergy blend. You could try 2 drops lavender, 2 drops lemon and 1 drop eucalyptus – or 5 drops of Immune Boost – as an example. Massage the chest, neck and back of the head fairly firmly, using trigger points and long relaxing strokes to help soothe and relax the body. It is an added bonus taking nice long deep breaths to calm the chest and inhale the therapeutic properties of these oils.
Use essential oils instead of harsh chemicals in the home
Chemicals in the home in the form of cleansers and detergents can trigger allergic responses. To support the immune system and to reduce chemicals in the environment aim to use low-toxin household cleansers readily available in supermarkets and health food stores. You can also make your own spray and wipe by filling a 50ml spritzer bottle with water and adding 20 drops of essential oils in total. So you might like to try 5 drops lavender, 10 drops eucalyptus and 5 drops of lemon oil or 20 drops of Immune Boost for an effective low-allergenic cleanser.
Use natural herbs and foods to support your immune system
There are so many wonderful foods from nature to help boost your immune system. Things like garlic, ginger, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, and orange and lemon are wonderfully high in vitamin C too. Add things like this to your salad and vegetable dressings for added nutritional benefits. Try squeezing an orange and adding 1 clove of chopped garlic, chopped ginger and chopped turmeric then taking it like a shot is a powerful way to start your day and boost your immune system.
BONUS TIP – Use high quality salt as an antihistamine
Cyndi O’Meara, nutritionist and health advocate, recommends adding 1/8 of a teaspoon of her Dulse Salt into a glass of water and drink as an instant anti-histamine shot. This helps to balance electrolytes and many have raved about the instant relief. This one is definitely worth a try!

SLP 121: Keep Moving Forward with Dr Howard O’Meara
Tuesday Oct 26, 2021
Tuesday Oct 26, 2021
‘You’ve got to get enough leverage on yourself. If you are hurting enough, stop hurting. Get enough leverage on yourself to move forward and move on. If you have lost your way and lost who you are, talk to people. There’s plenty of groups out there now. But the biggest thing is, get a handle on yourself. Move forward, keep moving forward, get enough leverage on yourself to make that change.’ Dr Howard O’Meara
Here is a beautiful conversation with the amazing Dr Howard O’Meara. This special soul has been a teacher, a policeman, a body-guard for the Royal Family and an amazing Chiropractor, Businessman and Entrepreneur. Howard is a high achiever. He says he has never missed a goal or not accomplished something he set his heart to. It is a case of never giving up and keep on moving forward. And whenever he gets uncomfortable or it’s not working then it is back to the drawing board to learn more, so you can.
Losing his father as a young man he never realised how much his dad meant to him until some years later. When he died, he realised his coping mechanism was that you just carry on. A book he was reading many years later on Mooloolaba Beach that suggested forgiving your father, pushed a lot of buttons. And Howard realised he had never forgiven him for dying.
He grew up in a time when bad things happen you just get up and get on. Losing his brother with a brain tumour and father was tough but he was reminded at that time to keep picking himself up, and that men don’t cry. It took him a long time to realise he can show emotions and be hurt and have tears and to love unconditionally.
We took a deep dive into the differences between men and women. And then how much this generation has changed to show love and express emotions. The gap is a lot closer now. We talked about family and his kids and how much they mean to him. He said his proudest moment of their life has always been as they have been born.
Howie discusses what it was like to take his family around Australia. He read a book called The Drifters all about a young couple who travelled around Europe in a combie van. He always had a traveling bug and after being so burnt out at work he felt it was time to take the family, have faith and head off around Australia.
Set your goal, have a go he says. He would recommend this to anyone, everyone. Just pack your family up in a confined space and go for it.
It’s a strange world right now and Howie says he refuses to get tied up in it. He takes note of what’s happening. He would recommend that you are aware of it. There’s a lot you cannot control but you can control the controllables. Get up and go! Don’t be restricted by the world circumstances, do life on your terms.
Howie talks about his experience as a body-guard for the Royal Family and how he is still friends with Prince Edward today. And we talk about chiropractic which he says is a very complete holistic approach to health. It includes your diet, your mental health, your physical health and your spine. The whole self.
We then discuss what it is like being married to the amazing Cyndi O’Meara and one word sums it up… challenging! She is a lady he highly respects. Her knowledge and the ability to read something and then is able to regurgitate it some years down the track. Life has never been dull that is for sure!
With an entrepreneurial spirit it was Howie’s drive and working with Cyndi that they completely turned their business around. He is a self-taught business owner.
He loves Robin Sharma’s book – Leadership without Title. He believes men have lost their way, but the way back is to do whatever it takes to stand strong. His final message is to keep moving forward. Love yourself. Know you will have set-backs but never, never, ever give up.
New Zealand born Howard O’Meara is a goal setter and super achiever. Whatever he puts his heart into, whatever he dreams of, he creates and accomplishes. Opportunities at school were not always on his side but that did not hold back his creative side as he took off overseas travelling around Australia. Lured back to settle and with a love of sport he qualified as a school-teacher majoring in physical education. He then joined the police force, which included working as a body-guard for Prince Edward.
After injuring his back and experiencing such rewarding chiropractic care he decided to apply to Chiropractic College and was accepted into Melbourne. He set up a very successful practice alongside working with many elite athletes at Commonwealth Games, World Champs and four Olympic Games. A highlight included being a part of the team for Natalie Cook and Kerri Pottharst who won gold at the Sydney Olympics. He is the managing director and driving head of Changing Habits with his wife, well-renowned Nutritionist and Researcher, Cyndi O’Meara.
His definition of Self Love is having a belief that you hold that you are a valuable and worthy person. Contribute to your world, your family and self in a positive way. Hold yourself in high esteem. He says if you are on shaky ground or feel fear or self doubt it comes down to being in a powerful state or do not make decisions.
His favourite quote is: I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its’ own sake. Life is not brief candle for me… it is a splendid torch of which I have to hold up, for but a brief moment and I will make it burn brightly as possible before handing it on to my future generation.

SLP 120: Self Love Quicky – Immortelle Essential Oil
Thursday Oct 21, 2021
Thursday Oct 21, 2021
Profile Of An Essential Oil – Immortelle – Helichrysum augustifolium
Immortelle is steam distilled from the yellow flowers of a small aromatic shrub that grows on cliff tops in the Mediterranean, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is an exquisite oil also known as Everlasting and Helichrysum.
The name helichrysum comes from the Greek word helios (sun) and chrysos (gold). This is because of the way this beautiful plant flowers, which can look a lot like masses of little golden suns. The yield is quite low. It takes a tonne of these flowering tops to produce up to 1.5kg of essential oil, which is why it is costs around $300 for just 10mls and why adulteration is common.
Immortelle is relieving, soothing, clearing and balancing and thanks to its unique chemical composition and some unusual sesquiterpenes not found in other essential oils it has amazing wound healing abilities.
Used in a massage blend Immortelle can help relieve oedemas, bruises and reduce scars and stretch marks. This also makes it an ideal addition in skincare for it has remarkable anti-aging abilities, and is particularly helpful for more mature skin and dry skin. Added to Rosehip oil it is remarkable in helping to reduce post operative scarring and cosmetic surgery healing. And as the name suggests Immortelle is said to be for the young at heart and eternal youthful appearance regardless of age.
In herbal medicine it has been used to help calm chest conditions like coughs, colds, bronchitis and asthma. It is also a beautiful essential oil and alongside oils like Eucalyptus, Pine and Lavender it is a perfect choice for a hot water steam inhalation. There is nothing quite like the good old fashioned breathing over a bowl with a towel over the head to relieve such conditions. A steam inhalation using Immortelle also helps to sweat the skin and support rehydration.
This pale-gold coloured oil is known to contain ketones that are renowned for their anti-inflammatory abilities. This helps with muscle aches and pains and combined with German Chamomile and Lavender it can help relieve muscle inflammation and injuries.
Immortelle has highly anti-microbial properties which is what helps it to heal wounds. Three drops added to teaspoon of Manuka honey would help with reducing the pain from burns, bites and stings. It also acts as a stimulant for the liver and is a good oil to use when on a detox.
For emotional support this oil when diffused or used in a massage can help reduce stress, grief, heartache, insecurities, negativity and worry. It is also one of the best oils for more connectedness, forgiveness, positivity, strength, warmth and wisdom.
From a research in aromatherapy point of view Immortelle is fairly new and really only came to the fore in the early 1990’s. But with its remarkable attributes as one of the best oils for inflammation, treating acute and chronic conditions and for its skin healing and regenerating properties it is now considered one of the most precious and highly regarded oils on the market today.
You can get a bottle of this precious substance right here – https://twenty8.com/product/immortelle-pure-essential-oil/

SLP 119: Challenge Your Thoughts With Heart with Juliet Dyer
Tuesday Oct 19, 2021
Tuesday Oct 19, 2021
So, a simple stimulus, just the words that someone says it can trigger us, but it’s based on attitudes you’ve pre-adopted. So, the first step is identifying, well what’s that little voice, that little gremlin that we’ve got in our head that as soon as we’ve been triggered, as soon as we feel that emotional response has been created within us, if we can learn to pause and recognise what that thought was, then we know we are in a position to be able to start challenging that thought. Because the minute you challenge it, the minute you ask, ‘Well is it true? Do I know that to be a fact?’, it is already lessening the impact it has on you. So, our attitudes create our feelings and thoughts, and it can happen at an unconscious level which is then driving our behaviour. Juliet Dyer
Juliet Dyer is one strong and courageous woman. Even in the early days of meeting her husband Stuart, she knew the risks and that there was a chance that congenital heart disease would play a big part. She knew it might affect their ability to have a family, but she had no idea the real impact it would have on all of their lives. Over a decade there has many surgeries and tests on Stuart and their kids. Juliet did what she needed to do to keep moving forward and learned the importance of self love.
She learned she had an amazing ability to cope with things. But her coping mechanism meant she pushed her own feelings aside which meant she eventually fell into a heap. She felt she had to maintain a presence of strength which also became her weakness.
This remarkable story is about one woman’s amazing ability to keep on keeping on when everyone needed so much from her. I first met Juliet at a Wellness Retreat. But it was at this point she realised she had not taken enough care of herself for a very long time or had shown any love for herself. She just kept believing she had no right to be emotional.
It was at this rock bottom moment during one of the Wellness Summit’s that she realised she needed to take better care of herself, she needed to show more love for herself and to reach deep inside and start thinking about putting herself into the equation.
Juliet pushed herself to learn and constantly educate herself on the relationship between the mind and body and today helps people to build their emotional intelligence. She teaches people how to have control on their emotions so that their emotions do not have control of them.
When it comes to being triggered it can start from our attitude and based on what someone says will depend on what is created in thought and how you feel which creates a state and outcome and then affects our behaviour. This is all based on attitudes that we have adapted.
Juliet shares some wonderful case studies describing how many who have the biggest hearts sometimes have little regard for themselves. If you are on your mobile phone all day you need to recharge it in the evening. But this is not something many do very easily.
Everyone is experiencing a lot of stresses at present. There is a lot of anger, frustration and anxiety. And everyone has an opinion and is upset or angry about something. It is about catching that thought in your head and not believing the stories you are telling yourself. It is about honouring yourself and just do YOU. Be ok being who you are and not worry about being anyone but you.
You are more calm and better able to show up with whatever is going on in the world. You become a better communicator and how to look after yourself. Learn about which battles you should fight and which ones to let go of.
We talk about the impact of covid and what it is doing to so many. How so many are missing their rites of passage. But also with a different lens it has become a very different change of pace. It’s a lot slower.
Juliet’s advice is to stay connected with those you love. Live by your values. Make good decisions and take big actions. Do everything to the best of your ability. Set a purpose. You may not be able to change what is happening but maybe it is a chance of focus. Get creative like zoom dates, Remove the heaviness you enhance creativity. Do what brings you joy. Find love and bring it into your day. Transition from one space into the other. Focus on your breath and go inwards. And then ask how do I want to show up in this next moment? This is all to become responsive not reactive.
The biggest thing is to PAUSE. You can then choose how you are going to show up. Find the thing that is best for you.
Juliet Dyer is a Leadership and Life Coach who specialises in transformational development through value clarity, behavioural change and emotional resilience and intelligence. Juliet works with individuals, teams and leadership groups across Australia who are seeking holistic yet highly effective coaching to eliminate stress and overwhelm, let go of self-criticism and self-doubt and to grow and succeed. Juliet’s approach- while left of field and non-traditional- simply gets results.
Juliet is an ICF certified Professional Coach, a qualified Kinesiologist, Master NLP Practitioner, Master Time Line Therapy® Practitioner and Master Hypnotherapist. She has trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, is a qualified Emotional Intelligence Coach as well as a Health and Lifestyle Educator and the founding director of The Revitalise Centre.
While Juliet uses a mix of methodologies, she sees each person as an individual and changes her approach based on what that person or that team requires. When Juliet is not working with incredible people, you’ll find her out in nature with her family.
Juliet says to always bring in self-love, self-kindness and self-compassion.
Her definition of Self Love is having a high self-regard, it’s bringing in kindness and self-compassion. Doing the things you love with no guilt. It is owning who you are and going this is ME and I love… it is recognising when you are tired and being kind. If something hasn’t gone right it is not about beating yourself up, but learning from it. Bring in that love to yourself that you give to others… that is what self love is because you are your best friend.
Her favourite quote is:
Don’t talk yourself out of greatness.

SLP 118: SL Quicky – Your Shampoo Could Be Making You Fat

Your Shampoo Could Be Making You Fat!
Did you know that women expose themselves to over 200 chemicals a day just through their personal care products alone? When you look at what is in a body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair-care products, deodorant, body lotion, face creams, makeup and perfume you can see how it adds up.
In the USA alone there are over 80,000 synthetic chemicals with over 1000 each year being added in. Many so-called experts say these chemicals are in small doses, within ‘safe’ limits and cannot hurt you. Research to date shows otherwise.
As a nation, we are fatter and sicker than we have ever been. Approximately 35% of people are considered obese (usually defined as a BMI over 30%) as opposed to 13% some fifty years ago. Sadly childhood obesity has trebled in the past three decades. There are a further 34% who are considered overweight. Just looking at these figures means over 70% of our population is struggling with weight issues that simply were not there three or four decades ago.
Emerging evidence suggests that a more sinister reason than food and activity could be contributing to weight problems and that so-called ‘chemical calories’ lurking in everyday beauty products such as shampoo, body lotions and soap could also be blamed.
The term for these chemicals that cause weight issues are obesogens. They have the ability to alter fat metabolism and promote fat retention. There are twenty classified obesogens including Bisphenol-A (BPA’s), dioxins, fructose, Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFA’s or Teflon), nicotine, Atrazine (herbicide/pesticide), MSG, parabens and phthalates.
Sadly we cannot avoid all of these chemicals completely but we can reduce our exposure to them. Eating as much real and organic food will help reduce your chemical intake but choosing your personal care products carefully is also very important. Anything you place on your skin is absorbed so make sure you choose chemical-free. The science against them is strong.
Ten Ways To Drop The Chemical Calories
Eat and juice more organic fruits and vegetables – especially green leafy veges.
Keep the home well ventilated allowing any polluted air to circulate and leave the home.
Connect with nature. If you can’t get outside and walk barefoot on the grass, walk the beach or in a forest then increase your use of essential oils as these help soak up airborne chemicals and increase negative ions.
Keep the bathroom, laundry and kitchen as chemical-free as possible. Check the ingredients. Use things like bicarb soda, vinegar and essential oils as your cleaning products.
Avoid as much plastic as possible. Use glass or ceramic to store your food and drink from. Or at least go BPA free.
Use flowers from your garden as opposed to bought ones as many are sprayed with herbicides and pesticides.
Store foods (particularly fatty foods) in glass or ceramic as fats act as magnets for chemical calories.
Avoid using microwaves especially with plastic containers or wraps.
Eat more good fat like butter, coconut oil, cold pressed vegetable and nut oils. Without these fats the skin may feel challenged and many end up lathering (unknowingly) more toxins onto the skin with chemically laden skincare products.
Avoid products with these ingredients – perfume, fragrance, parabens, DEA, PEG or Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.

SLP 117: Now Is The Time For Gratitude with Dr Mark Postles
Tuesday Oct 12, 2021
Tuesday Oct 12, 2021
‘Now is the time for gratitude about it. Let’s accept it. Let’s say I don’t understand it, how I had that car accident, and I had this marriage break up… it was all good, it’s all like this is perfect. This is how it’s supposed to be for me… And when we come from gratitude then we can say ok going forward, what is my view point? We can pre-determine then going forward. We can decide. We can have a different viewpoint going forward into our life from now on. And as we know with the microcosm of the body, just as we cast new energy into the cells, it changes them.
Who am I? Where did I come from? Where do I go? And what do I do? Universal questions Dr Mark Postles asks himself often. To give an overview Mark is attracted to the unorthodox, he values freedom and the beauty of nature. He believes we are going through a revolution right now, and that we are in very interesting times. Mark wonders what influence he can have on the world within the small context, relative to the whole. And he truly believes now more than ever is the time for gratitude.
His definition of Self Love is something around being total and essential with an identify we are a part of one and are interrelated in every aspect in life and the inanimate, the energy that flows through us and in us. We are all connected. Self is the microcosm, so we love ourself and therefore love the macrocosm. To look in and see the order and structure we are and the extrapolate that out into the bigger dynamics of the cosmos.
Mark thinks self is a metaphor it is not a thing. How we do ourself is how we do our world.
Mark explains what the innate wisdom is all about. By looking at your small fingernail you realise how intelligent the body is. How did it manifest, how does it express and know when to grow. There is an order within the simplest yet most complex of things. Of that phenomena you only have to hurt that small fingernail to know this is a sacred area that has it’s own intelligence at work supporting the whole.
Maybe we are like little fingernails in the scheme of things. The reality is we are part of the whole and the body would not be as amazing as it is without our fingernails. As we think of life and being here we realise there is a limitation to matter. What is the energy of life and death?
Our life force is within us and around us and intermingles all around us. There is an interplay between us and what might be called Universal intelligence which is the order and structure of things of stuff of the cosmos of relationships and natural laws we work within.
This podcast is about being in touch with that greater consciousness and the innate intelligence of all things.
Mark mentions Dr Bruce Lipton’s work where the cell wall mediates those vibrations and messages. We can choose a thought and the cells within our body will shift to that thought.
Live out of abundance and your purpose will become more obvious. Mark has a sense we come into this life form as a human being… the human part is our physical but the being… where was I when I was asleep? Who am I? What is self? Maybe this is the dream when we wake? What Mark believes is that we have an unlimited presence.
Mark sees the physical experience of this life as pretty low-level. Look at a newborn baby… it oozes attention. There is something that touches our heart. The baby is just there… it is a descending pathway. It is more being than it is human at that point. And as we grow and become more culturalized and our physical form takes more shape we can forget our being.
Some of us, not all of us, start to wake up to that and think you know what, there must be more than this, there must be more than just the physical stuff. More than skin, a bunch of money and having physical experiences and stuff. We start to wonder maybe there’s a part of me that I’ve forgotten about? So many of us are on this path back to learning about ourselves… and the first obstacle we come across is another person. The person we come in touch with is the person who bring us our shadow and brings us the areas we have ignored or brings us the areas we haven’t loved. And we haven’t infused with spirit. So that often is a big stumbling block and I’m sure many people can relate to this.
Mark explains being a victim to your circumstance or choosing to rise above it based on the meaning you put into that experience. He believes now more than ever the importance of finding time for gratitude and trusting it is all as it is meant to be. This will help to move forward with a different viewpoint. Casting new energy into the cells changes them. Gratitude changes our past and to rewrite our history.
We talk about the chiropractic approach to health and wellness with a vitalistic viewpoint. You plant a seed and don’t go back the next day to see it as a tree. You water it, feed it, and see over time that seed will grow into a beautiful unique form of vegetation. We discuss the differences of various modalities.
We talk centralised system vs decentralised systems.
This revolution we are in is challenging us to really question everything and look to this decentralised system. This is a beautiful system that will allow us to develop for the next level of consciousness.
His favourite quote is from Woody Allan 90% of success in life is in just showing up. Just show up, be you, be yourself unashamedly. Be transparent. You are the only one of YOU. So, celebrate that uniqueness and lean in and allow things to occur as they naturally unfold.
Marks final message is there’s nothing to change. There is nothing to change in your body or mind. It is absolutely perfect right now.
During his 45 years of chiropractic practice Mark has provided hundreds of thousands of people with high quality wellness-oriented care. He has operated a number of successful family wellness focused practices throughout Australia, inspired over 100 people to become chiropractors. Mark serves his profession in numerous capacities from teaching, coaching and board of trustees positions of chiropractic colleges.
Currently, as well as being a highly inspirational practice coach and mentor to chiropractors worldwide, Mark is actively in practice in Queensland where he has a busy family wellness practice.
Mark has a profound curiosity for human beings and how they tick. He is the developer of the in8model®, an instrument of understanding how people do the behaviours that they do and get the results that they get. The in8model® book is an easily understood manual on how to easily play the game of life.
Mark’s mission is to empower people to access their authentic self. He inspires people to be more of who they can be by accepting the perfection of who they are right now. The message of innate perfection is a welcome message of hope in these challenging times.

SLP 116: Self Love Quicky – The Best Natural Perfume
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Thursday Oct 07, 2021
Fancy a little methylene chloride on your skin, or maybe some toluene, some methyl ethyl ketone, or methyl isobutyl ketone, even perhaps some ethyl alcohol and benzyl chloride? You can be getting any one or some of these toxins when you dab your skin, or spray, with perfume.
Martin J. Walker in ‘Home Sickness’ in the British environmental magazine ‘Ecologist’ says: ‘Most fragrances are produced from mixtures of up to 600 synthetic chemicals. The great majority of these substances have never been tested for human toxicity.
In the US, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health reported that 884 toxic substances were identified in a list of perfume constituents.’ Perfumes, he says, are completely unregulated and many of the toxins they contain are known to be carcinogenic and can cause birth defects, central nervous system disorders and allergic conditions.
They are absorbed through the skin and can accumulate in the major organs. And yet, unaware, we spray them on morning and night. The pity of it is that we don’t need these fragrances to be surrounded by beautiful aromas.
We have nature’s answer in essential oils. My favourite perfume is a drop of pure Rose or Neroli oil. Both are highly priced oils but no more expensive than a costly bottle of perfume and one small drop is so potent that a bottle can last for a couple of years.
Another favourite perfume is the Romance & Intimacy synergy blend and is exquisite when dabbed onto the perfume points. Interestingly, everyone has their own distinct smell (pheremones) so when you apply an essential oil, or blend of oils, your body will take on the aroma and make it its own. That’s what makes aromatherapy such a beautiful, natural and unique way to perfume your body.
